ACCOUNTING

We provide business accounting services for the small business.

First, we provide business owners with operating statements on a monthly basis so that they know how they’re doing. Generally, we show sales breakdown tailored to your business and a similar purchase breakdown. Expenses are shown in detail and summarized by major category. Each monthly statement shows current month and year-to-date totals, with percentage breakdown by category.

Second, we prepare all the taxes required for your business, including your personal income tax. Whether you own a barbershop with one employee or you’re a contractor with eighty, you need to file payroll tax forms and have W-2’s prepared. Our service is based on the tax filing requirements set forth by the I.R.S. and your state, and all we require is that you provide us with the proper information and timely tax forms to return to you.

We work from your after-payday payroll records, however you maintain them. The more advanced and dependable your payroll system, the less cost to you. We can furnish payroll books and whatever other forms you might need, including daily checkout sheets, monthly sales summaries, check registers, et cetera. For us, the emphasis is on obtaining the information we need in a clearly understandable format at the least trouble to you.

Generally, we can work from whatever you provided to your previous accountant, and over time our objective is to bring you savings—both in taxes paid and in time saved. For over thirty-five years, it has been our policy to pay any penalties caused by our error. If you are tired paying penalties, maybe it’s time to give us a call, send us a FAX, or drop us an E-mail at pbs@pro-tax-usa.com now.

QUARTERLY CLIENTS

We accept quarterly clients, although reluctantly. If that’s what you want, we can do it. Please contact us to discuss your specific situation. DISCONTINUED

GETTING STARTED

We can take over your bookkeeping and accounting needs as of the first day of any month of the year. If you have employees, it’s often easier to change accountants at the end of a calendar quarter. This allows more time to obtain the payroll records from earlier periods, but it is not mandatory. If you maintain payroll records at your place of business, it is not even a factor.

The best place to start is simply to get in touch. One of our senior partners will handle your account for the first several months. To maintain the quality of our service, we have strict limits on the number of new clients we accept at any one time.
